A full time National serviceman died this morning after collapsing in Lim Chu Kang camp.Private Joe Foo Wei Rong a 20 year old serviceman with the 4th Battallion of the Singapore Infantry Regiment was doing chin ups when he apparently collapsed. He was given medical attention and was pronounced dead at the hospital at 8.30am.
Private Joe Foo is the fourth soldier to die this year. In January a 41 year old Major died after running 1.2 km. In June two young soldiers died within 2 days of each other prompting all training to be stopped.
